EA Sports Active Adds Variety to Your Wii Workouts

EA Active—New Wii Workout Game

The EA Sports Active Personal Trainer is ready for release.  Are you tired of the exercises on your Wii Fit?  EA Sports has developed a new exercise game for the Wii gaming system that will expand your ability to exercise with your Wii.EA Sports Active is different in many ways from the Wii Fit.If you are serious about fitness, this is one video game that will help you achieve your fitness goals.

EA Sports joined with Bob Greene to develop a challenging exercise game that can work for anyone.Best known as Oprah’s personal trainer, Bob Green is also the author of the diet book bestseller, The Best Life Diet.As players begin the game, they even receive a special pep talk from Bob Greene.

How does this game differ from the Wii Fit game?Separated into three main sections, nutrition, lifestyle, and fitness, the EA Active game primarily focuses more on fitness exercises than games and game play.  The fitness section is the core of the program.EA Active, unlike Wii Fit, has a multiplayer mode that allows two players to use the game at the very same time. Now you can have another family member, friend or exercise buddy work out with you.

The game comes with a controller leg strap which allows the player to connect the nunchuck controller to his thigh. This allows the nunchuck controller’s motion sensors to be used when doing exercises like jogging and boxing. Also include with this video game is a resistance band that adds more difficulty to shoulder lifts, biceps curls and other exercises.  The Wii balance board is not included with the game.It is, however, completely compatible with EA Sports Active Personal Trainer and will enhance the intensity of your workout exercises when used with this game.

If you are ready to step up your fitness routine, EA Active may be just the program you need.  Wii Active is the perfect complement to your Wii Fit game and will add more variety and intensity to your Wii workouts.  You’ll find many ways to customize this game that will make it a great additional to your exercise routine for many years to come.

Can Tiger Woods on the Wii improve your game?
May 14th, 2009 by admin

If Tiger Woods 09 was the game i was talking about then most certainly not. A good game on the other two consoles of the generation the 360 and the PS3, it still only applies to the people who enjoy sport games over the shooters and role playing ones. However even I will be purchasing the new Tiger Woods 10. What is pushing me to even consider this? It’s certainly not because I’m saving money on electric golf trolleys that’s for sure. It's simply because Nintendo didn't make the great motion sensing technology that they promised and although it is great for kids the majority of the time it sucks and doesn't work as well as it could. Now Nintendo have let their fans down a lot over the last couple of years with their useless family games that really do not appeal to the fans at all but, with the new MotionPlus part that connects to the bottom of the Wii remote the games will actually start to respond in the way that it should.

This surely makes playing golf games such as Tiger Woods 10 perfect for when it’s a bit stormy out and there is no way your favourite course is going to be open. It is a great way to see what a golfer goes through on the course from trying to figure out the wind direction to how hard they have to swing and what club to use.

The newer edition that is due out later this year will most certainly sell more than the previous edition. Many people who are rubbish at the sport including myself can find that this is easier to use and even if you still fail at least it is in the safety of your living room and not in the middle of the golf course. A great bonus to having this game is that you can swear and shout as loud as you want without the worry of someone kicking you of the course for being too loud! Although watching someone fail to hit the ball very far on the Wii will be amusing it certainly will not be anywhere close to when I was an assistant greenkeeper at my local golf course and took great pleasure in watching some of the golfers fail miserably.
The best thing of all is that you no longer have to charge golf batteries up, just walk into the room, pick up the remote and have a game!
